We are looking to recruit a Legal Cashier for a permanent opportunity with a well-regarded law firm based in Liverpool city centre.

You will be responsible for the following tasks and duties:

• Administering the firm's financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, billing, and bank reconciliations.

• Managing high volumes of queries from both internal and external stakeholders

• Cash allocations (BACS, Faster Payments, Cheques, CHAPS)

• Preparing and submitting VAT returns and other tax-related filings.

• Providing reports and analysis to management

• Ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up to date.

• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes as needed.

• Staying up to date with relevant regulations and industry trends affecting legal cashiering.

Skills and Experience required:

• You will have similar experience in an accounting or legal cashier role for ideally 2+ years

• You will have good knowledge of the Solicitors' Accounts Rules and VAT.

• You will have excellent communication skills and great attention to detail.

• Good knowledge of MS Packages

• Ability to work on own initiative with little supervision

• Ability to prioritize workload, particularly while working alongside multiple deadlines

• You will be organised, confident and be able to work well as part of a team

• Proclaim experience would be desirable
