Legal Cashier
We are looking to recruit a Legal Cashier for a permanent opportunity with a highly regarded law firm based in Hook, Hampshire.
Recent and relevant experience working as a Legal Cashier is essential for this position and you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Keeping track of all banking on a daily basis and managing the accounts system including all daily reconciliations.
- Dealing with all invoices and ensuring they are paid on time.
- Ensuring the efficient operation of the firm’s PAYE scheme
- Ensuring the efficient operation of the firm’s VAT system
- Scrutinising all banking transactions for possible internet fraud (hacking, phishing etc.).
- Recording all transactions in the appropriate manner in accordance with the SRA Accounts Rules
- Providing information to the firm’s accountants upon request and working with them on all audits
- Managing the firm’s work in progress and ensuring the proper provision of timesheets on a daily basis
- Providing information in order the enable the obtaining of all necessary regulatory validation (Professional Indemnity, practising certificates)
