Dispute Resolution Secretary
We are looking to recruit a Dispute Resolution Secretary for a permanent opportunity with a well-regarded law firm in Bury St Edmunds.
You will be working one-to-one with our Dispute Resolution Solicitor, providing efficient and effective secretarial and administrative support, and delivering outstanding service at all times in a fast-paced area of legal practice.
The successful individual will be responsible for all of the usual legal secretarial duties in a litigation environment, including:
- Typing from a digital dictation system to a very high level of accuracy
- Filing (electronic and paper);
- Updating records such as client, case and contact details in our practice software.
- Proactively assisting the Litigation Lawyer to manage their schedule.
- Handling enquiries by phone and in person, recommending appropriate services and arranging consultations / appointments / call-backs.
- Assisting with the collation of documents for court and other bundles.
You will most likely have previous experience of working as a legal secretary, preferably in a litigation or similar discipline.
It will be necessary for you to be able to confidently use a range of software packages, although predominantly Word and Outlook, and possess clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal.
As litigation is a particularly demanding and fast-changing environment, you will need be able to work well under pressure, in close partnership with the Litigation Solicitor.
